  • CF Logan Cerny, Troy: Cerny had a game for the ages as he belted 3 homers with 2 doubles and recorded 7 RBI as he went 5-for-5 during a 13-6 win over Youngstown St. He tied a school record for total bases with 16. Cerny is the first Trojan since 2014 to hit three homers in the same game. After two games, he was hitting .625.
  • RHP Hunter Stanley, Southern Mississippi: In his first career start for the Golden Eagles after 37 relief appearances over the past two seasons, Stanley fanned 13 batters in six innings of work and only allowed one hit and one walk.
  • C Caleb Pendleton, Florida Atlantic: In his first two collegiate at-bats, Pendleton did what has only been accomplished seven times in recorded NCAA history since 1976 (and only once ever in Major League Baseball). He hit two grand slams in the same inning. What makes the accomplishment even more amazing is that the freshman did it in his first two collegiate at-bats. It was part of a 16-batter, 12-run second inning that eventually turned into a 20-15 Florida Atlantic win over Central Florida.
  • RHP Zachary Leigh, Texas St.: Leigh struck out 10 Brigham Young batters in four innings. He was one strikeout shy of matching his career high.
  • SS Blayne Jones, Dallas Baptist: Jones hit 3 home runs with 8 RBI during two wins over Austin Peay as he went 4-for-10 at the plate. He hit two home runs on opening day and then hit a grand slam the following day. In two games, he led the Patriots with 13 total bases and was errorless defensively at shortstop.
  • LHP Carson Whisenhunt, East Carolina: Whisenhunt struck out a career-high 10 batters over four innings against Rhode Island. He became the first freshman at ECU with double-digit strikeouts in a game since Jake Agnos recorded 10 against Tulane in 2017.
  • DH Wes Clarke, South Carolina: Clarke belted 3 home runs with 2 doubles and 9 RBI in three games against Dayton as he went 7-for-10 at the plate, scored 7 runs and had a .800 on-base percentage as he also walked 5 times.
