Game 2 of the College World Series Championship Finals featured a dominating 7-2 win by Virginia over Vanderbilt. LHP Brandon Waddell tossed a complete game and allowed only 1 earned run on 5 hits with 5 strikeouts. Virginia out hit Vanderbilt, 13-5 as seven batters in the lineup delivered hits. The Cavaliers have now collected 28 hits in two Championship Finals’ games. Game three will decide the national championship with Virginia and Vanderbilt each having one victory.

Since Papi is out by five feet, the only solution is to dislodge the ball from Campbell as Papi lowers his shoulders.
Papi gives Campbell a punishing hit that sent him flying backward. But the Vanderbilt third baseman held on to the ball for the out. Papi was not thrown out of the game.
